Voices of Black PowHer was founded in 2018 by Sabrina Parker aka Phonetic Wisdom to create a platform for Black women who have been impacted by sexual abuse/trauma. She launched this mission with an artistic showcase to offer a safe space for the raw creative expression and healing of Black women. Since the beginning of Voices of Black PowHer, Sabrina has recognized that the Me Too movement extends beyond just sexual abuse, but all sorts of trauma and is focused on expanding her mission to shed light on the varying types of traumatic experiences affecting Black women. In recognition of the value of Black woman and their contribution to society, we seek to empower her through the arts and a supportive community in which she can share her story unapologetically and PowHerfully!
